Modern Materials for Chemistry and Medicinal Applications studies established at the NCU in Toruń
On June 22, 2021, the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń issued an order on the establishment of second-cycle studies conducted in English in the field of Modern Materials for Chemistry and Medicinal Applications. The order enters into force on the day of its signature.

Visit in Toruń
From 14 to 17 January 2020, a group of delegates from the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Kyiv (NaUKMA): prof. Anatolii Burban (Head of the NaUKMA Department of Chemistry); prof. Polina Vakulyuk (Deputy Dean of the NaUKMA Faculty of Natural Sciences); prof. Viktoriia Konovalova, and Mrs. Larysa Chovnyuk (Head of International Office (organizational matters)) visited the Faculty of Chemistry of NCU in Toruń .
The aim of the study visit was to continue work on the joint second-cycle studies: “Modern materials for chemistry and medicinal applications”. During the visit, talks on the study curriculum and syllabi were held. In the meeting attended prof. dr. hab. Iwona Łakomska (Deputy Dean for Development and International Cooperation); dr. hab. Wojciech Kujawski, prof. NCU (Mobility Coordinator); dr. hab. Urszula Kiełkowska, prof. NCU (Deputy Dean for Student and Teaching); and dr. Izabela Koter. The team met also with Prof. dr hab. Edward Szłyk, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry.
Visit in Kiev
From 12 to 15 November 2019, the Polish staff of the Katamaran Project has visited the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Kyiv (NaUKMA).

Polina Vakulyuk (Deputy Dean of the NaUKMA Faculty of Natural Sciences); prof. Viktoriia Kovovalova, and Mrs. Larysa Chovnyuk (Head of International Office (organizational matters))

During the visit, a number of interesting presentations of team members from both universities have been done. Especially, the general aims of the Katamaran project, and the Master’s chemistry programmers in both institutions, were presented. Discussions focused on the creation of a new education course – MODERN MATERIALS FOR CHEMISTRY AND MEDICINAL APPLICATIONS in both universities.
